Phil McFarlane, MD, PhD, FRCP(C), Toronto, Ontario, Canada (Chair)

Dr. Phil McFarlane is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Toronto and a clinical-investigator in the Division of Nephrology at St. Michael's Hospital where he is the Medical Director of Home Dialysis, the Medical Co-Director of the Multidisciplinary Diabetes Complications Clinic and the Chief Nephrologist in the Live Kidney Donor Program. He is a member of the Canadian Diabetes Association Clinical Practice Guidelines group, the Canadian Society of Nephrology guideline group and the Canadian Hypertension Education Program. Dr. McFarlane completed his Ph.D. in health economics at the Institute for Medical Sciences at the University of Toronto and his areas of research interest include health economics and outcomes research. He has published over 60 peer-reviewed manuscripts and three book chapters.
