Dr. Huang joined the Division of Nephrology and the Department of Medicine at the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry at Western University in July 2013. Dr. Huang is also affiliated with the Departments of Medical Biophysics and Paediatrics. She completed the certificate program in Epidemiology and Biostatistics at Western University while she was enrolled in the PhD program. In 2015, she received her PhD degree in Medical Biophysics.

During her PhD training, she received not only a CIHR Fellowship Award but also a prestigious Vanier Graduate Scholarship. She is the Director of the Home Hemodialysis Unit and the Plasmapheresis Program at the London Health Sciences Centre. She is also the lead of the Glomerulonephritis Program at the London Health Sciences Centre, which is one of the six programs that are approved by the Ontario Renal Network. Her current research projects pertain to the following three areas: optimization of dialysis therapy, application of the non-invasive imaging techniques to understand the vascular burden of thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura and prevention in chronic kidney disease.
