Presenter: Dr. Shruti Chaturvedi
Dr. Shruti Chaturvedi is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Hematology at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. She received her medical degree from the University of Delhi in India and went on to complete a residency in Internal Medicine from the Cleveland Clinic and a fellowship in Hematology and Oncology from Vanderbilt University. During her fellowship, she also completed a Master of Science in Clinical Investigation, with a focus on genetic epidemiology. She has been supported by grants from the American Society of Hematology, the Hemostasis and Thrombosis Research Society and is a current recipient of the Johns Hopkins University Clinician Scientist Award. She has a clinic focused on the care of patients with thrombotic microangiopathies, and her research focus is also on thrombotic microangiopathy, particularly long-term complications, as well as the role of complement in other hematologic disorders, including the antiphospholipid syndrome and sickle cell disease.
