Hi everyone, I hope someone can provide some insight here...
I'm a 45 year old male (non-black), i've been tracking my creatinine values the last few years as they were quite high, i;ve seen a broad range from 84 recently to a high of 132. A range of 47 ml/min seems pretty crazy, can we really have that much fluctuation in GFR? Could dehydration cause such a gap? Could differences be attributed to different labs? Optimistically i am hoping the lower creatinine is valid since if my kidney was actually damaged it would not regain functionality.
There was a extended period this summer values were not great (128,132) could this be due to something particular like a kidney infection or some temporary situation?
Recent urine tests revealed no protein. I don't have diabetes or HBP.
Anyhow some opinion on what is happening here would be great, if there cause for concern and what to do moving forwards.
thanks!
