I just looked at my test from last May 2019 and noticed my Alb/Creat Ratio is 263.0 and testosterone is 1920.8

My physician never bothered to call me and let me know about this reading and it was just a fluke I received an email yesterday that I had new test results.

What does this mean now that's it's been almost 1 years since the results and clearly I have had no treatment?

Does the testosterone have anything to do with the high Alb/Creat Ratio?
Can you please post the exact units appearing beside the tests you received?

Creatinine, Urine 100.4

Albumin, Urine 264.1

Alb/Creat Ratio 263.0

Testosterone, Free+Total LC/MS 1920.8
Are the units of the ratio is 263 mg/mmol or 263 mg/g? That is a very important difference

Creatinine, Urine 100.4 mg/dL

Albumin, Urine 264.1 ug/mL

Alb/Creat Ratio 263.0 mg/g creat

Testosterone, Total LC/MS 1920.8 ng/dL
This represents an abnormal but only relatively small amount of protein in the urine. It is commonly associated with hypertension and diabetes but as well as many other less common forms of kidney disease. The test should be repeated and if persistently abnormal, it should be evaluated further.

Thank you so much Dr. Weinstein,

I appreciate your advice and information. It's easy for patients to over think results especially when they're hundreds of units over normal range.

I'll find another physician and hopefully they can work with me to get this identified and under control.

If you have any suggestions on things I should do I would appreciate that as well.

I'm going to stop the alcohol (even though I only have a couple drinks a week) and I'll start exercising more.

thank you again
