Is the concept of correcting the anion gap for hypoalbuminemia valid?
Hello,

The source of the anion gap is in large part driven by the negative charge on albumin. So yes, the concept of correction is valid. The range of normal anion gap values within and between individuals is not zero and so the correction may not be entirely accurate even though the concept is valid.
