Hi
What's the relashionship between having hypophosphotemia and hypercalcemia !
I think both of these minerals has separate mechanism !!!
Thanks
Hello,

The most common reason for this combination would be primary hyperparathyroidism. PTH is a phosphoturic hormone and retains calcium via enhanced tubular reabsorption. Another possible (but rare) example might be Fanconi syndrome (with renal phosphate wasting) with concomitant multiple myeloma causing hypercalcemia.

Hope this helps!
