Yes. You are correct with the .2g for the 24 hour period.
This is a huge relief as some publications have said .2g is severe and my doctor did not seem alarmed.

At what stage of kidney disease would you feel pain from kidney damage.

I have back pain but don’t know if from kidneys or farmers walk at gym.

Another question I have is if I stop using anabolic steroids and discontinue all supplements (which is what the doctor thinks caused this) at this early stage can progression be haulted?
Will I be able to live a long life without dyalisis?

Kidney disease very rarely causes pain - unless you had severe kidney inflammation or bleeding kidney cysts.

Anabolic steroids can cause protein in the urine as well as a host of other health problems. It is good you have stopped them. Assuming you have normal kidney function and the proteinuria does not progress and assuming you don't have another cause of kidney disease (you have provided only limited information), I would not think there is significant cause for concern about dialysis.

If I stopped the roids would the proteinuria go away since it was only trace amounts?
The Kidney US only showed mild damage. The doctor said it was so minimal if their was no protein he would of considered the US normal.

I would expect that if you stopped, that the proteinuria would have a good chance to regress. If you copy and paste the wording in the U/S, I can get a better idea what it means. Please to not include any personal health or identifying information in the post.

The ultrasound findings are very non-specific. The parenchymal changes suggest "something is up", as does the very minimal protein in the urine. By all means see what your physician thinks, but this does not sound ominous for the medium or even medium-long term assuming no worsening occurs.

Right now with all tests are normal except for BUN (27) and the trace protein.
