Protein in urine

I am a 45 yr old black female with 15mg of protein in my urine, am I on the verge of being a dialysis pt? What does that mean?
Hello,

Do you mean 15 mg for the total 24 hour period? In that case, that is a normal amount of protein excretion.

Please clarify if I have misunderstood you.

It was just a urine specimen at a Urgent Care visit....

Well if indeed you only have 15 mg of protein in the urine (over a 24 hour period), there is nothing to be concerned about.
