This test reflects a tiny amount of excess protein in the urine. While it is abnormal, it is only slightly elevated. I don’t believe this is the cause of your foamy urine. Foam in the urine can be caused by a small amount of normal occurring protein in the urine. If you want to make absolutely certain there is no significant protein in the urine, in addition to the test you already did, you can either do a protein to creatinine ratio or a 24 hour urine for protein collection.

I should also add that your albumin to creatinine ratio needs to be confirmed with a repeat test done three months right now.

Dr thank you so much for taking some time out of your busy schedule to address my situation i really do appreciate. Concerning my result do you believe I must be excreting more amount of protein compared to that on my result?in other words maybe lab test was an error. In the month of October my s-creatinine was 77 umol/L and my eGFR was 110 yes i will have to do the test again in 3 months. My nephrologists said he would put me on some medications with the reading of my UACR. Dr do you think with my constant foaming urine should have a higher ratio?what stage do you think I fall into?no swelling just the constant foaming urine and constant mild lower back pain that radiates. I'm deeply sorry for any inconvineneces I may have caused you.
