In general, one could restart PD after such a short period without difficulty. One situation where a patient might need to alter their PD prescription is if s/he is adding potassium to the PD fluid and after the time off of PD, their potassium level rose to the point where s/he does not need this additive any more. Otherwise, one could likely safely resume. But for specific advice regarding a patient, one should consult with his or her nephrologist.
