In modern management of hypertension is there any place for ACE and A11RB combination? If so when?

In light of the ONTARGET study, there is no role for the use of ACEi and ARBs in the management of uncomplicated hypertension. There may be a role for this combination in patients with heavy proteinuria (>1-3 grams/day) and the results of the NEPHRON-D study (see link below) should shed light on whether this is true.
