Why do some renal transplant recipients develop ACR and some patients develop AMR? After sensitisation what factor determines whether it is ACR or AMR..?
Hello,

Inadequate immunosuppression and other triggers for rejection can lead to both antibody-mediated rejection (AMR) or cellular rejection. Statistically, acute cellular rejection is more common in all scenarios. However, the presence of donor specific antibodies (DSA) - more-so than simply high levels of panel reactive antibodies - is a risk factor for AMR.

Thanks for the question!
