Hello there,
Two months after having a major surgery unrelated to my kidney transplant. I have had a kidney transplant for over 23 years without any issues.

However now I see some protein in my urine and I’m having difficulty understanding these results. I’m very concerned as I have never had this happen. Can someone please help!!

Hello,

Your result indicates protein less than the usual normal range - meaning it is undetectable due to its low quantity. Therefore, you don't have protein in the urine according to this test. It is flagged as "ABNORMAL" because usually there is at least some, like in your prior test. So nothing to worry about.

Hello there, thank you very much! I have been worried for a week now. The nurse wasn’t exactly sure on how to interrupt these results, due to we utilizing a different lab. I was so worried and you absolutely helped me understand this. I’m relieved and happy with how prompt in response. I’ll certainly recommend this site and Dr. Weinstein.

Thank you,
Denisse
