I am an RN CDE with 22+ years experience in nephrology, everything from pre-renal to post transplant, but with a huge hemodialysis background. In 2001, I achieved CNO Nephrology Certification, but let it lapse as I was pursuing moving to the prevention area in diabetes. I live with Type 1 diabetes 37+years, and am devoted to assisting clients to avoid complications as it is entirely possible. Renal prevention has been ignored by the medical community for the most part and I will be part of changing that.
