lost both kidneys to pkd, also have Alports. which I have passed on to both my sons.
18 year old has since been transplanted. 16 year old is doing well at this time. was put on PD for a year then hemo dialysis for 8 months. transplant in 1986, back on conventional hemo dialysis 13 years later. on transplant list and on Nocturnal Home Hemo dialysis. 6 nights a week 7-8 hours each run. creator of kidney-friends.net |
