Post strep-glom nephritis and double pneumonia for one year now.  Blood work and kidney functions have improved greatly.  But still having moderate blood in urine and chronic cough (maybe thats some old asthma coming back). Blood pressure still fluctuates but not currently on any meds except vit b 12 injections.  Any suggestions?

Hello,

There could be persistent urinary abnormalities indefinitely, even after glomerulonephritis recovers clinically. Most important, is that urinary protein normalizes and renal function recovers. While microscopic hematuria could persist however, gross hematuria - or visible blood - should not and if present, warrants investigation.
