Hi,

Hope you can clarify my results herein. I'm a female, age 45 years old. What is the result mean? Thank you for your response.

Creatinine, urine (ALB)
Results : 1321 (UMOL/L)

Albumin, urine
Results : <7.0 (MG/L)

Albumin/Creatinine
Results : (MG/MMOL CR)
Ref. Range : <3.5

Remarks : Result for Albumin/Creatinine Ratio cannot be reliably calculated because albumin, urine is below the detection limit of the assay
Hello,

This means you have no measurable albumin in the urine - this is good! The test is normal.

Hello,
Could you please clarify my result, I am a 41 y.o female.

Albumin (Urine) <5mg/L

Creatinine (Urine) 10.5 mmol/L

Albumin/Creatinine
Unable to calculate albumin/creatinine ratio as
the urine concentration of albumin and/or
creatinine is outside the measurable limits.
Decision limit: < 2.0 mg/mmol.

Is it bad that ratio can’t be calculated?

Thank you
A

Immeasurably low albumin is good. The ratio should technically be zero but labs often don’t report it this way. This is of no concern.
