Hello,
I had a urine test and culture done recently and it shows I have blood, white blood cells and protein in my urine but no infection. I had this test done because I had a lot of pain on my upper left side of abdomen.
I’m 43 years old middle eastern woman. History of many bladder and kidney infections.
The blood and white blood cells level in back to normal but protein level shows
0.3 GL.
Does this mean I have kidney problems?
Thank you for your time.

Hello,

Ideally you should have a urine albumin to creatine ratio and blood creatinine level to answer your question more accurately. Also:

  • Do you have any other health conditions?
  • Do you take medication including supplements?
  • What is your blood pressure?
  • What is your ethnic background?
  • Do you have family history of kidney disease?
