My doctor won't refer me to a nephrologist. She told me I had CKD. Here are my labs. I had spinal surgery in March and April of 2018 and my numbers seemed to have spiked since then. Is this normal? I feel my doctor is unconcerned because she won't refer me to a kidney doctor. What is she waiting for? You would think the sooner the better.
Hello,

Your kidney function has declined slightly since 2015. It would not be unreasonable to have this evaluated by a nephrologist. Some additional information would help:

  • Do you have any other health conditions?
  • What medications do you take?
  • Have you had an assessment of your urinary protein levels?
  • What is your ethnic background?
