Hi. I recently had a blood test done...my third in 3 years. Everything on the test was normal except my creatinine levels for the 2nd time in 3 blood tests. My first test I had creatinine of 1.35, then 2nd 1.30 (GFR of 77) and then last week 1.38 (GFR 70). My Bun was "9" the last time I had the test. Should I be worried about anything? I'm pretty healthy, I workout 3-4 days a week (weight lifting as well, but nothing hardcore). I am just worried my creatinine levels keep showing up higher than they should be, but everything else is normal. Or is this common? Thanks!!!

Hello,

To help further please let me know about the following:

  • Do you have any other health problems?
  • Do you take any medications including over the counter medications or supplements?
  • Do you have protein in your urine?
  • Are you of black African descent?

No other health problems. Some sinus issues.
I was taking some medications about 30 days ago for acid reflux. I drink a protein shake about once every week.
I am Indian.

If it helps all three tests were taken without fasting.
