Is microalb/creatinine ratio the same as urine albumin creatinine ratio? Are they two different tests? How do you calculate the UACR using these values: microalbumin, urine 2.0; creatinine, urine 90.0; and microalb/creat ratio 22.1?

Microalbumin is simply albumin in very small quantities. Please post the units of all the numbers reported above. The ratio is calculated by dividing the urinary albumin concentration by the creatinine concentration.

microalbumin, urine 2.0 mg/dL; creatinine, urine 90.0 mg/dL; and microalb/creat ratio 22.1 mg/g cr

Right, so:

2 mg alb / 90 mg creatinine = 0.022 mg alb / mg creatinine

Multiply by 1000 to get mg/g: 22.2 mg/g
