Hello doctor and thanks for your effort here :)
At first i want to apologize for any english mistakes because iam form Germany :)

Last year in april i had a UTI with staphylococcus and entereccocus, the treating started late because 3 doctors didnt had a clue it was a UTI.
Also one urine sample was clean

The 4th visit to an urologist revealed the infection after 28 days.
It was treated with Azithromycin i think its called Z Pack also.

On the second day when i took azithromycin i noticed a tingling sensation in the flank i felt the same a few days earlier in my bladder.

Again i was at the urologist he did a kidney ultrasound and stated there is no infection.

A few days after this i lost a small kidney stone.

I went to an other urologist and he detected proteines in my urine (50mg dl)

I was reffered to a nephrologist who did a 24hr urine collection in the middle of september
I had 85mg UTP and 1300ml of urine.
They also did a first morning void sample which showed no protein.
They took another sample around 11 .am
No protein in it.
They told me to come back in April and of the first morning void is clean iam safe and dont need to visit them again.

Do you think i can trust them ?
I never had protein in my urine before that UTI and iam scared it left permanent kidney damage.

I had bad luck with doctors last year for other reasons which is a part of my fear of kidney disease.

Thank you very much....

If you have 85 mg of protein in your urine then this is within normal levels. You could also have a spot urine albumin to creatinine ratio done along with abdominal ultrasound and kidney function tests. If all are normal, I would conclude no significant injury occurred to the kidneys.

Dear Doctor Weinstein iam sorry that i have to ask you again :(

After a UTI last year in april which was treated with azythromycin, they detected some protein in my urine for the first time.

Last week i was again at my nephrologist and gave them a first morning void urine sample.
In October last year they told me if in April is nothing to be concerned of i dont need to visit them again.

Blood levels where all normal and some protein was found in Urine but within normal levels they said.

They gave me a new appointment for october 2020 same procedure first morning void and a blood sample will be made.

Because of Corona i didnt got a chance to talk to the doctor directly and i couldnt ask him or her about the protein thing and why i need to come again despite being told something other last october.

After one year i would like to know if I have kidney disease or if I am healthy.
I have normal blood pressure also :)

Is it normal to check it regularly if there is "nothing to concern about"?

Thank you so much, have a nice weekend and stay healthy in these times...
Sorry for my english mistakes iam from germany :)

Hello,

If nothing new has changed from what you reported initially, I don't see why there is cause for concern. It is possible that they are just following you as a routine without having much concern for anything new developing. But if nothing has changed in your tests, then I don't see any cause for concern. Please understand however, that I am only going by the information you are providing and they might have additional information that I don't.

Thank you very much Doctor Weinstein :)
Yes i know you only can provide an opinion based on the information i shared with you :)

I tried to get my test results but it wasnt really possible because of this Corona Virus.
They said theres no need to its all unremarkable.
I cant tell if something has changed but of course i will visit them in October :).
Thank you again and hav a good time :)
