Hi
I have been doing dipsticks at home as I often feel unwell on waking.
I’ve noticed my results tend to be like this when I feel rubbish:
Microalbumin: 3-8 mg/L
Creatinine: 200 mg/dL
Is that normal for first pee/slight dehydrated person or should I go to dr?
I think everything else looks normal
Thanks!

Hello,

Dipsticks are not the most accurate method of measuring urinary protein. If you really wanted to know your urinary protein level you could do a proper albumin to creatinine ratio at a lab. That being said, the estimate of your protein in the urine seems to be quite low (very close to normal) and would not explain feeling like "rubbish".

All the best,

Dr. Jordan Weinstein
