- Faire un suvol historique des phénomènes de réactions au circuit extracorporel et les situer dans le contexte clinique actuel
- Distinguer et savoir diagnostiquer les différents types de réactions au circuit extracorporel
- Discuter de la prise en charge immédiate et subséquente des patients présentant une réaction au circuit extracorporel
Définir les différentes façons d’anticoaguler le circuit extracorporel en hémodialyse
Énumérer les différences entre l’héparine non fractionnée et les héparines de bas poids moléculaires
Décrire les diverses recettes d’anticoagulation (héparine non fractionnée, héparine de bas poids moléculaire, argatroban, danaparoïde, lepirudine)
- Review the different aspects of immunosuppression weaning/withdrawal protocols according to patient characteristics (residual diuresis, other co-morbidities such as infection or cancer, etc.)
- Identify the local and systemic complications that may be associated with the withdrawal of immunosupression in these patients and review indications to refer for transplantectomy
- Describe the risk of neoplasia and explain how to monitor the transplant patient transitioning to chronic renal replacement therapy

- Present an historical overview of adverse reactions to the extracorporeal circuit and assess the current situation
- Describe the potential adverse reactions
- Define the optimal treatment and management of patients who develop adverse reactions to the extracorporeal circuit
- Classify the various treatments to prevent extracorporeal circuit clotting during hemodialysis
- Compare and contrast the differences between unfractionated heparin and low moleclar weight heparin (LMWH)
- Examine the current treatment options, i.e., unfractionated heparin, LMWH, argatroban, danaparoid and lepirudin
