Hey there, i am from Singapore. recently my wife went for some health test and they say that there might be some issue with her kidney.
They might need to do a kidney biospy. As of now, they have ask her to bring back a container to for a 24 hour urine collection first then send for another testing.

Can anyone kindly advise us whether is there anything serious from looking at the lab report.

Hello,

Based on the urinalysis and albumin to creatinine ratio, there appears a form of nephritis or kidney inflammation. Statistically, this might be related to a condition called IgA nephropathy - especially common (relatively speaking) in Asian people. However, the good news is that the kidney function itself appears excellent and so this might be managed with blood pressure medications alone.

I can only base my opinion on the information provided and your health-care provider might arrive at different conclusions once you have provided an entire history and had a physical examination performed. As always, this forum provides general medical information only and is limited to educational use only. Please discuss the above remarks with your health-care provider.
