3 yrs ago I had a radical nephrectomy I am 76 yrs old My GFR is now 56 my GP is satisfied with this a satisfactory number. My creatinine level recent 87.

I would agree that this represents excellent residual kidney function. I would only ensure that your blood pressure is under good control and that you don't have any significant protein in the urine. Your GP can assist with that assessment.

thank you for your reply that is most re-assuring. Everything else blood pressure , is being monitored and I am taking meds to keep this at good level.
