3 yrs ago I had a radical nephrectomy I am 76 yrs old My GFR is now 56 my GP is satisfied with this.is this a satisfactory number. My creatinine level recent 87.

thank you for your reply that is most re-assuring. Everything else blood pressure , is being monitored and I am taking meds to keep this at good level.

Hello,

I would agree that this represents excellent residual kidney function. I would only ensure that your blood pressure is under good control and that you don't have any significant protein in the urine. Your GP can assist with that assessment.
